My story?
I was born in Houston, Texas, in 1995. So I'm fifteen. My mom would always tell me that I was a natural composer. I made up my first melody before I could talk, she says. At three, when I could actually form words and SPEAK, I started singing opera (I know right?). I got my first couple of gigs in friend’s living rooms, and from there, I guess I just knew that I wanted to be in the spotlight. I started vocal training at seven, wrote my first song at nine, started playing instruments at ten... it was a beautiful thing, cause I've known what I've wanted from day one. It's one of those childhood dreams that I guess I never let go.
Moving out to Los Angeles had to have been one of the biggest decisions in my life. I came out with high hopes. Too high, maybe. But I didn't want to give up, I believed that I had talent, and I wasn't about to let my dream slip right from under me! I was in the city I needed to be in! So I waited. And wrote. And waited. And played. And waited.
So, naturally, the 12 year old me at the time was bored. On a random September day, I made a “cool” YouTube username, and put up a video of me singing a song I liked. I initially started posting for me, more than anything. I didn't mean for it to get as popular as it did. But boy, did I like the attention. It was a total transition to realize what I was doing. At first it was like, "Oh this is just for fun, no big deal." Then I felt it turning into, "Let's see if people like my voice." And that was my mindset for quite a while until a couple of months ago where I realized, "Wow. This could jump start my career." And sure enough, my current manager found me on there, and I've had the opportunity to speak with and work with some of the most amazing people I know.
What’s today like for me? Well I wake up more than satisfied. :) I am very proud to say that I have managed to get almost 19 million views. (So close!!!) I really couldn't have done it without you guys. I also write constantly, I am working with some fabulous writers and producers. I am so ready to show the world what I've been preparing for my whole life. And I'm definitely still YouTubing. I learn songs on piano and guitar to post, and I try to put everything together so that YOU GUYS are happy. I hope you're happy, because I know I am.
